MACSUR – Modelling European Agriculture with Climate Change for food Security

CropM International Symposium and Workshop: Modelling climate change impacts on crop production for food security

10-12 Feb 2014

Oslo, Norway

Yin Hoon Chew (UEDIN) participated at the first CropM International Symposium and Workshop in Oslo, Norway. Crop modellers from across the world gathered to discuss current state-of-the-art and future perspectives of crop modelling for climate change risk assessment for the agricultural sector. The research topics addressed included capturing impacts of climatic variability and extreme weather events in crop models, improving the simulation of interactions between abiotic factors (e.g. CO2, temperature, water and nutrient supply), and introducing genotypes into the modelling of phenotypes.
